More than 130 people gathered at Texas de Brazil in Stapleton Thursday November 6th to celebrate Jeremy Bloom's Wish of a Lifetime. Those gathered had an opportunity to hear from Jeremy who shared his passion for the mission and talked about why it is so important to serve our seniors. Remarks were also made by Laura Wildt of the Volunteers of America Foster Grandparents program who has been an incredible partner to our program. Attendees also heard from AEG Live President, Chuck Morris.

It was a night to celebrate Nancy Tarpein's wish, which was granted a few weeks prior. Nancy's wish was to spend time with her daughter who is battling cancer, and thanks to the generous support of a number of people, Nancy's wish was realized. Nancy spoke at the event and was able to watch the DVD documentary of her trip for the first time that evening. It was an emotional night for Nancy, Jeremy, and our Executive Director, Patrick Sablich, who made the trip together to visit Nancy's daughter.

The evening was also a celebration of the many future wishes to be granted. Foundation supporters had an opportunity to learn more about the mission of the program, which exists to enrich the lives of seniors by providing a life-changing event. Supporters were incredibly generous - donating more than $8,300 that evening.

Texas de Brazil was also incredibly generous in their support having donated the specialty food and drinks for the evening event.

We look forward to granting wishes in the coming months and sharing those stories with you April 30th, 2009 at our first annual gala at The Ritz-Carlton, Denver.
